Recipient of the 2025 Intentional Woman Award.
Gold Sparkling Abstract Background

A transcript of the inspiring acceptance speech by founder, Nike Ligon:

     "Thank you so much....

Andrew Carnegie - When he was a young man working in a factory, one of the local men opened up his [private] library to boys who were working to come on the weekends and read, and from that act of generosity, he had the ambition and education that he needed. He went on to use his wealth to sponsor public libraries all over the world.

Venus and Serena Williams - They started out playing in their public courts in Compton and then a local benefactor sponsored them to go to Florida, and that is where they got their professional coaching.

And then there is my father who, every summer, signed us up for computer club. Of course, all we did was play games all summer...PacMan...Electro Freddy was my favorite, but from that, it sparked in me the curiosity for Engineering.

Thirteen years ago, I founded the Omotere-Comfort Engineering, Science and Art Scholarship and I'll just leave you with this....

All of us have different paths in life, but they are all intertwined, and so I want to encourage you today - support causes like this. I am so happy that the Omotere - Comfort Scholarship could help with the Miss Elegance Georgia pageant. So, I want to encourage you, give, because you never know what will spark in a youth or a child, something to make the world different in years to come.

So, thank you very much for this award, I appreciate it!"
